This blog is the local information and discussion resource for the WEP Lewisham branch, just one of 73 branches nationwide, with now over 65,000 members and registered supporters, more than 600 of these in Lewisham alone.

WE are pushing for equal representation in politics, business, industry and throughout working life. WE are pressing for equal pay and an equal opportunity to thrive. WE are campaigning for equal parenting and caregiving and shared responsibilities at home to give everyone equal opportunities both in family life and in the workplace. WE’re researching and insisting on a health care system which promotes mental as well as physical health. WE urge an education system that creates opportunities for all children and an understanding of why this matters. WE strive for equal treatment of women by and in culture, media and sport. WE require an end to violence against women.

WE are working to bring all these things to Lewisham and we are standing three candidates in the local council elections on 3 May 2018.

Rebecca Manson Jones is representing WEP Lewisham in Ladywell ward

Kate Vang is representing WEP Lewisham in Brockley ward

Mandu Reid is representing WEP Lewisham in Lewisham Central ward
